Each year, door to door campaigns are conducted on behalf of many Food Banks throughout Alberta. Bags are delivered to homes a few days prior to the following Saturday.
If you receive a bag during the week of the Food Drive, and can donate NON-PARISHABLE food items, you're asked to put your contributions on your porch/doorstep in a visible spot, BEFORE 10:00AM on the Saturday. (No cash or cheques please - we cannot process them.)
Then, on the Saturday of that same week, volunteers will canvas your neighbourhood to collect your non-perishable food donations. (Again... No cash or cheques please – we cannot process them.)
Please be sure your donation is sitting on your doorstep before 10:00AM where it will be clearly visible from the street. Everything picked up will be taken to your local Food Bank. Select the city you reside in, to see which Food Bank we are conducting the campaign for and the date of the next campaign.
Our volunteers try their best to get back to all the houses where they delivered bags – but if no one has picked up your donation bag by 2:00PM that afternoon, please contact us through this link to arrange a special pickup: MISSED BAG RETRIEVAL
